You wake with a mind already racing through the day’s to-do list. You scroll through social media invitations to "up your game." Everywhere, you are encouraged to pursue 'wellness' by the very systems that drive your exhaustion.
It’s a frustrating and unsustainable script. This is not a personal failing; it is a deeply human response to inhumane demands. The part of you that recognizes the absurdity of it all is right, and the part that's searching for a better way deserves a guide.
Often, this sense of being adrift is amplified by unresolved grief or the quiet echoes of past trauma. My practice is a sanctuary for those who are tired of being told their struggles with mental health and wellness are a personal defect
Together, we will validate your pain by gently making sense of its origins, always at a pace that feels safe for you.
Through compassionate conversation and evidence-based methods, we will explore the stories that have shaped your life, making space for new possibilities to emerge. Our work is to help you connect with your deepest values and use the experience and resilience you've already gained as the foundation for your next chapter.
My role is to offer a steadfast, non-judgmental presence and a truly holistic approach, built on 30 years of experience in a broad range of individual and group therapy, trauma-informed work, energy and bodywork, grief counseling, and palliative care.
My journey to this work is not just academic; it is the heart of my practice. The lived experiences of trauma, abuse, racism, and a Near-Death Experience are not just parts of my past; they are what allow me to sit with you in your journey without judgment and with a genuine understanding of the courage it takes to heal.
I have been in practice for 30 years, with a background that includes individual and group therapy, palliative care, grief counselling, trauma-informed therapy, and community mental health. This helped me to develop the capacity to support individuals through everyday challenges, intense suffering, grief, and the unique pressures faced by caregivers and helping professionals.
I am registered with the South African Council of Social Service Professionals (SACSSP) and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). I am an active member of SAASWIPP, SAOSWF, and PALPRAC. For you, this means my practice is held to the highest national standards of professional ethics, accountability, and compassionate care.
